COMMUNITY INVITED TO PREPARE MIND, BODY & HOME FOR WINTER!
New Paltz, New York- As Winter approaches, let us embrace it! Join us for family-fun festivities to help prepare the mind, body & home for the cold weather. Energy efficiency/winterization info, kids’ activities, free snacks, cider & music for the community!
What: Learn about easy & affordable ways to winterize your home. Energy efficiency experts will be on-hand, ready to answer any questions you may have. Find out about free energy audits and securing grant funding for energy upgrades!
* Kids’ activities will keep the young ones entertained
* Make-your-own-tea table with healing herbs for all of winter’s ailments- also free
* All ages are invited to bring an old T-shirt that can be turned into a reusable shopping bag!
* Free snacks and cider will be served & live music will be played!
Who: Sponsors include Interfaith Earth Action, New Paltz Climate Action Coalition, and New Paltz Climate Smart. Participants include Repair Café, HeatSmart Ulster-Sullivan, Energy Conservation Specialists, New York State Solar Farm, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Hudson Valley Community Power, Nexamp, Natural Energy Solutions, Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency (UCRRA), Food & Water Action and Resist Cricket Valley Energy (CVE) & others!
Where: St.Joseph’s Parish Hall, 34 South Chestnut Street, New Paltz, NY
When: Thursday, November 21st. Stop by between 7-9pm.
Why: The climate crisis poses a serious threat to our world; energy efficiency, reusing and reducing are just a few ways community members can have a local impact on a global issue!
