New York and New Jersey (NY-NJ) have nine offshore wind projects totaling more than 9,800 megawatts in development off our coasts and are leading the nation to build a supply chain and workforce to support the growing offshore wind industry. Together NY-NJ constitute the hub of the nation’s offshore wind industry. Both states have ambitious, and achievable commitments to decarbonization and are making significant investments in the development of critical assets like ports, primary components and training programs. NY-NJ are working together to strategically prepare the offshore wind workforce and educate existing businesses about the opportunities in a domestic offshore wind supply chain.
