Green the Grid and Electrify Everything: a primer on how we can address the climate crisis while creating jobs and improving our health and quality of life in the process! Presentation by Jennifer Metzger.

Jennifer Metzger is a Senior Policy Advisor to New Yorkers for Clean Power and a former State Senator representing Hudson Valley and Catskills communities. In the Senate, she was a leading voice in efforts to address climate change, including passage of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and a permanent ban on fracking.
Prior to her election to the State Senate, Jen served for over a decade in local government in the Town of Rosendale, and co-founded and directed Citizens for Local Power, an organization dedicated to helping communities shift to a locally-based clean energy economy. She has a PhD in political science, with a specialization in environmental politics and policy.
