New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) deploys Community Energy Advisors to conduct engagement activities to New York State residents, small businesses, and multifamily building owners, with an emphasis on low-to-moderate income (LMI) households and communities. The goals of CEEP are to address energy affordability needs, reduce energy bills, and increase participation in energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions and programs. The program also works to increase awareness of and access to financing options for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Community Energy Advisors educate households and communities to increase energy literacy, enable informed energy decisions, support implementation of clean energy projects, and decrease energy consumption.
