Many educators, non-profit workers and other public service employees aren’t aware that their pension funds ($11 billion dollars worth) and being invested in fossil fuels and deforestation agribusiness by an investment firm called TIAA. TIAA touts itself a leader in social responsibility, but the company’s actions prove otherwise.
To kick off the 2020 academic year, we’re inviting you to join the 2020 TIAA-Divest! Academic Zoominar with special guests Bill McKibben (350.org) and Katelyn Kriesel (Divest NY) on September 16th at 6:30PM EDT.
This will be a busy, interactive session, where we’ll work together with participants to plan ways you can apply meaningful pressure to TIAA to divest from climate destruction. See our four key demands here.
Please register to save your spot for the TIAA Divest! Academic Zoominar on Sept. 16
