Event Details

Are you ready to celebrate the actions our communities have taken for our planet? Would you like to know more about what we can continue to do? Would you like ideas for helping our neighbors and each other? Join us at the Community Climate Action Celebration happening at Harrietstown Town Hall. In recognition of the International Day of Climate Action, it’s time to come together and make a difference!

At this hybrid in-person and Zoom event, we’ll be celebrating our community’s efforts to combat climate change. It’s a chance to connect with fellow community members to share ideas and learn about sustainable initiatives.

Throughout the day, there will be engaging workshops, inspiring talks, food, and fun activities for people of our community. You’ll have the opportunity to hear from experts in the field and discover practical ways to reduce your carbon footprint.

The Renewable Heat Now Campaign will lead a teach-in on the NY HEAT Act. Our “Cantastoria” teach-in is a participatory way to learn about the groundbreaking New York Home Energy Affordable Transition (HEAT) Act, a crucial piece of legislation aimed at reforming New York’s public service law so we are no longer compelled to invest in the continued expansion of the fracked gas system. The bill also contains an energy affordability guarantee for low and moderate income households.

Together, we can make a real impact!
