Did you know that geothermal heating and cooling is the most efficient kind of home energy you can get and that it can be deployed nearly anywhere in New York State? Although the upfront cost is high, homes and buildings with geothermal enjoy decades of clean, quiet, even heating as well as low monthly bills and maintenance costs. Geothermal also benefits the entire electric grid. As more of New York’s buildings go electric, it’s important that a larger share of these buildings do so by installing geothermal heating to temper peak demand on the grid.
