Every New Yorker who walks in will have the option to take at least one concrete step with the partner orgs that cuts emissions, in alignment with the 2030 goals. The 2030 Districts Network’s goals are to reduce emissions in the entire built environment by 50-65% by 2030 and reach zero emissions by 2040. We will be announcing the action that each partner organization is offering in more detail in the lead-up to the event, so stay tuned! The actions include sign up for demand response, enroll in community solar, join a green energy workforce development training program, learn about household energy efficiency, purchase green renewable energy credits, volunteer for an emergency preparedness plan rollout in your neighborhood, alert your legislator your interest in current bills that aim to limit toxins in NY, & commit to some other type of climate action you want to take and agree to share once you do.
