08oct7:00 pm8:30 pmNY Energy Efficiency Policy Teach-in Oct 8 & Call-in Oct 9

Event Details

This fall NYSERDA and the PSC are conducting meetings across the state to solicit feedback on NY’s proposals for implementing the new energy efficiency standard, with a specific focus on how the concerns of low-and-moderate income ratepayers can be fairly addressed by this process and statewide energy policy more broadly. We want 1) to make sure that ratepayers – and specifically ratepayers from communities that pay a disproportionate share of income on energy bills – are leading the decision making process on energy efficiency and 2) to showcase how energy efficiency impacts the lives of everyday New Yorker’s via our own stories.

Join us Monday, October 8 at 7 p.m. for a teach-in on the energy efficiency white paper and the policy-making process. Prepare for a) an important October 9 call-in day to the Public Service Commission and b) the upcoming stakeholder forums in Syracuse (October 9), Binghamton (October 23), Deer Park (October 25), and the Bronx (October 31).
