Event Details

Climate Now’s Net-Zero Cities events are community-based forums designed to foster learning, make connections, and spread the knowledge needed to equitably decarbonize our cities nationwide.

What is a Net – Zero City?

“Net-zero” refers to achieving a balance between the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced, and the amount of emissions removed from the atmosphere – beginning with dramatic reductions in emissions, also known as decarbonization. For cities, that means reducing emissions from buildings, transportation, electric power, waste, and other essential systems.

The Net-Zero Cities: Westchester County event will convene a diverse group of local community stakeholders, educators, leaders, residents, business owners, and experts in an engaging and inclusive discussion about Westchester County’s path to Net-Zero. Decarbonization can only be accomplished through local efforts and this innovative event will share the steps for individuals, families and communities to achieve this goal.  This family-friendly event will be hosted at Rye Middle School, engaging local students, families, and panel discussions.
