Mark your calendar for the Greater Binghamton Clean Energy Careers Summit on September 27, 2023 at the DoubleTree, 225 Water Street in Binghamton.

Join local and regional clean energy leaders for a summit from 11:00 AM to 3:30 pm, followed by a job/community resource fair and networking reception from 4:00 – 6:30 pm. Lunch provided during the summit; snacks and drinks provided during the later events.

The Southern Tier, after decades of job losses primarily from declining manufacturing, has a once in a generation opportunity to grow jobs and average family income. These jobs are primarily in clean energy manufacturing and the many services required to achieve the State’s clean energy goals. In all, we expect 10,000 to 15,000 clean energy jobs over the next decade with over 1,000 openings today. This influx of jobs will create opportunities in all sectors of our economy including housing, restaurants, education, trades and much more.

Clean Energy Careers Summits will be held in regions across New York State to strategize how to create robust clean energy career pathways, scale up the clean energy workforce and raise awareness of the economic benefits of the clean energy transition mandated by our nation-leading Climate Act.
