New York State is moving toward a clean energy future with the nation-leading goals of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act), including 70% renewable electricity by 2030 and zero-emission electricity by 2040. To achieve the ambitious goals of the Climate Act, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) issued an Order amending New York’s Clean Energy Standard on October 15, 2020. The Order directs NYSERDA to investigate the feasibility of including Great Lakes wind power in the State’s clean energy portfolio.
