New York State is moving toward a clean energy future with the nation-leading goals of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act), including 70% renewable electricity by 2030 and zero-emission electricity by 2040. To achieve the ambitious goals of the Climate Act, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) issued an Order amending New York’s Clean Energy Standard on October 15, 2020. The Order directs NYSERDA to investigate the feasibility of including Great Lakes wind power in the State’s clean energy portfolio.

Join us for a webinar about the Great Lakes Wind Feasibility Study on March 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET. The webinar will provide an overview of NYSERDA’s responsibilities as prescribed in the PSC Order and preliminary details on the topics to be covered within the scope of the Study. The webinar is also an opportunity to provide your input on methods of public participation throughout the Study.
