PLEASE JOIN US ON FRIDAY, MAY 17!

The Garrison School invites middle school students and teachers from the mid-Hudson Valley to participate in the Youth Climate Summit at the Garrison School on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This event is FREE. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

This one-day event will bring together students to learn about ways they can address climate change locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. The summit will combine informative plenary sessions and workshops in a fun atmosphere for a powerful educational experience. We’ll provide knowledge and tools to empower young people to drive climate action in their communities.

Students will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of workshops and experiences. View the schedule of events and speakers below.

The Youth Climate Summit concept was dreamed up in 2008 by student Zach Berger and The Wild Center in the Adirondacks. Now, the Wild Center hosts an annual Summit and helps schools and communities to develop their own Youth Climate Summits.
