Event Details
Deployment of heat pumps is a key part of the greenhouse gas reduction goals set out in the Inflation Reduction Act. In “Accelerating Heat Pump Adoption through the Inflation Reduction Act and Complementary Policies,” CLASP and RAP analyze impacts of the IRA on heat pump uptake in the United States and explore complementary policies that states can use to further increase adoption: workforce training, improved public access and participation and rate design.
Join us for an interactive conversation in which we focus on heat pump adoption in New England. We will look at the region and at several states to see how they are using federal dollars and state policies to deliver heating and cooling improvements in homes throughout the Northeast.
Panelists:
* David Lis, Director, Technology Market Transformation, Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP)
* Hank Webster, Deputy Commissioner of Energy, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection
* Peter McPhee, Senior Program Director, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center
David Farnsworth of RAP will introduce the panel, and Vivian Cox of CLASP and Louisa Eberle of RAP will moderate the session.
After a roundtable discussion, there will be ample time for audience questions.
