Event Details

Are you getting calls or emails telling you to sign up for this or that electricity program because it will save you money or be more environmentally friendly? This short talk with nonprofit New Yorkers for Clean Power’s home energy coach Tom Konrad will explain the difference between choosing an alternative electricity provider (ESCO), signing up for community solar, and Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), and the factors you should consider for any of them.

It will be followed by a Q&A session where Tom will answer any of your questions about your home energy from solar panels, to heat pumps to electric vehicles and more.

If you are unable to attend, but still have burning energy questions, you can sign up for a free coaching session here.

Bio: Tom Konrad Ph.D., CFA started trying to get off fossil fuels in 1999, and started informally coaching others to do the same shortly thereafter. He has been providing coaching through New Yorkers for Clean Power since 2021. He is also the manager of a hedge fund investing in clean energy stocks, the Chair of the Marbletown Environmental Commission, and a long distance runner.
