This two-day event is an opportunity for organizational leaders and community members to:

• Engage with healthcare professionals and equity advocates to develop a shared understanding of how climate change impacts our health and what we can do about it.
• Gain perspective by hearing from a diverse range of local residents about how climate impacts their lives and the unique challenges they face.
• Discuss the impacts of climate change and fossil fuel use on air quality, water quality, mental health, maternal health, and much more.
• Learn how to leverage our region’s assets to build a healthcare system that is informed about climate-related illness and prepared to respond.
• Develop ideas for sustainable healthcare, secure and healthy food systems, clean energy access, green transportation, and other equitable systems-level solutions.
• Understand the importance of climate justice and the disproportionate impact of climate change on vulnerable populations.
• Take action to support the implementation of the Genesee-FLX Climate Action Strategy region.
