The Transportation and Climate Initiative (TCI) is a regional collaboration of 13 Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states and the District of Columbia that seeks to improve transportation, develop the clean energy economy and reduce carbon emissions from the transportation sector.

The participating jurisdictions are: Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia.

The Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School develops and promulgates legal techniques to address climate change and trains the next generation of lawyers who will be leaders in the field. Michael Gerrard, director, and Hillary Aidun, climate law fellow, of the Sabin Center examined New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act to see if it can be used to advance equity in TCI. This webinar will feature a review of their legal assessment.
