We are excited to share with you that Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced today another major step to advance the state’s nation-leading climate agenda with the issuance of the offshore wind and land-based solicitations. In support of this announcement, NYSERDA has launched a Request for Information (RFI) to engage with local communities across New York State to consider prospective sites for large-scale renewable energy project development. This opportunity marks an important next step in advancing “Build-Ready” projects under the State’s new siting law, helping to jumpstart New York’s economy. It also accelerates progress towards New York State’s goal of 70 percent of the State’s electricity to come from renewable sources by 2030.

Under this RFI, NYSERDA’s Build-Ready Program is proactively seeking nominations from elected officials, community members, private companies, or other interested parties for potential sites to consider as Build-Ready projects.
