Join the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the U.S. Department of Energy to learn more about the 2022 update to the Solar Power in Your Community Guidebook (https://www.energy.gov/eere/solar/local-government-guide-solar-deployment). Last updated in 2011, much has changed in the world of solar. With an emphasis on energy equity, the 2022 edition highlights new and existing technologies and strategies to maximize the benefits of solar to all communities. The guidebook covers opportunities for making solar affordable and accessible to residents, building capacity for a local solar workforce, installing solar on government land or buildings, innovative solar technologies, and more! In this Clean Energy States Alliance webinar, panelists from NREL and DOE will present the updated guidebook and discuss how it can be a resource for developing a supportive local environment for innovative, equitable, and community-led solar.
