 2021 State Transportation Electrification Scorecard

Date and time: Wednesday, February 3, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET

Which states are taking the biggest steps to advance electric vehicles and which are falling behind? In a first-of-its-kind report, ACEEE comprehensively examines all 50 states’ efforts, scoring them across 40 policies, and identifying where legislatures, executive agencies, and utility regulators can make progress.

With transportation now the largest source of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, electric vehicles (EVs) stand to play a critical role in decarbonization. But EVs still account for only approximately 2% of the American vehicle market, and initial purchase costs and access to vehicle charging remain barriers.

The scorecard will reveal what states are doing to reduce these barriers. Join us to hear from the report authors and leaders from California, New York, and Colorado.
