The annual Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) Northeast Regional Conference is a great opportunity for new and experienced CCL volunteers to learn, practice skills, expand our reach, and inspire one another in order to achieve powerful climate legislation in Congress.
This year we’re focused on building strength through new relationships, listening to different voices, and learning what climate change means for others engaged in this effort and how we can work together toward our common goals.
What you’ll get from the 2020 Northeast Conference:
- Effective approaches for bridging the political divide
- Best practices for engaging local officials and members of Congress
- Better understanding of energy issues and carbon pricing
- Update on carbon pricing action in the Northeast Region
- New tools for building political will in your district
- And more!
When: Friday, March 6 (6 pm) – Sunday, March 8 (12:30 pm)
Where: Russell Sage College, 65 First St, Troy, NY 12180 (close to Albany)
Who: Whether you’re new to CCL or a seasoned volunteer, you’ll find something to energize and inspire your climate change advocacy. The Northeast Region covers New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, but all are welcome – and if you are the parent of a high schooler, bring them along!
