17aug3:00 pm4:00 pmWebinar: Breaking the Cycle of Wildfire and Drought

Event Details

Join Food & Water Watch on Wednesday, August 17 at 3 pm for a webinar on extreme heat and climate change.

Record-breaking droughts have forced communities to grapple with water scarcity. And, as drought conditions become more extreme, drier landscapes and hotter temperatures contribute to a higher chance of wildfires.

This is a dangerous cycle, but one we have the power to break. Food & Water Watch is tackling this problem at the source by taking on the fossil fuel industry and agricultural water abusers. Through organizing efforts at the local, state and federal level, we can fight to protect our climate and water resources for a livable future for all.

Speakers include:

Tomás Rebecchi, Central Coast Organizing Manager, Food & Water Watch

Caroline Wren, Researcher, Food & Water Watch

Conner Everts, Executive Director, Southern California Watershed Alliance
