A Free Zoom Info Session for Farmers, Processors, and Food Businesses presented by the Hudson Valley Food System Coalition Land & Agriculture Interest Group.

New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, one of the country’s most ambitious pieces of climate legislation, is open for public comment through June 10, 2022. Join former New York Senator Jen Metzger, New York Farm Bureau Deputy Director of Public Policy Elizabeth Wolters, and Cornell College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Associate Dean, Office of Land-Grant Affairs Julie Suarez to learn how the Climate Act will impact agribusiness, from manure management and soil health to energy, transportation, waste, and beyond. This webinar will include an in-depth question-and-answer session and will share important ways for farmers to make their voices heard during the public comment period.

Speakers include former New York State Senator Jen Metzger, Deputy Director of Public Policy from the New York Farm Bureau Elizabeth Wolters, and Cornell College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Associate Dean, Office of Land-Grant Affairs Julie Suarez.
