Plug Into our Regional Clean Energy Hubs

About the Hubs:

New York State is embarking on a transition to an inclusive clean energy-powered economy. All residents, businesses, and communities across the State will have access to new opportunities to benefit from this transition including clean energy careers, home improvements, and even rebates for businesses and personal transportation. But there’s a lot of information out there, and people may not know where to start.

To help New Yorkers access and navigate these opportunities, NYSERDA created the Regional Clean Energy Hubs. Clean Energy Hubs connect people to the clean energy economy.

The Mid-Hudson Regional Clean Energy Hub is your team of trusted, knowledgeable, community-based organizations from across the region and is a collaboration of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess, Sullivan, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Ulster, in partnership with Sustainable Westchester, New Yorkers for Clean Power, and the Consensus Building Institute and a growing network of local partners. New Yorkers for Clean Power is proud to be one of several organizations providing support and resources for the Mid-Hudson region and is particularly excited to focus on workforce development support in the area.

What Works? Resources for Employers

New Yorkers for Clean Power is the workforce development partner for the Mid-Hudson Valley Hub. We are on hand to connect contractors and small businesses with state programs and incentives, including the Empower+ program, Heat Smart, and NY Sun. Enrolling as participating contractors in these programs enables businesses to work with New Yorkers who want to take advantage of all the clean energy funding the state has to offer. We can also help minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses get state-certified.

Also in our Hub role, NYCP works to connect jobseekers with employment training in the clean energy sector and to streamline clean energy career pathways through improving synergy between jobseekers, training providers, and employers.

For specific assistance, please fill out the form below to be connected with Cal Trumann, our Education & Careers Coordinator, who is the point person in our work with the Hub.

For general workforce information, you may join our Clean Energy Careers NY coalition, where we work statewide with partners to promote these career paths.

If you would like assistance in your residence or business with saving money and energy efficiency or accessing renewable energy, please fill out this form and we will connect you with your local Energy Advisor.
