New Yorkers for Clean Power is a statewide campaign to rapidly shift to a clean energy economy. Through education, advocacy and organizing, the campaign engages the public, local governments and businesses to advance a range of renewable energy, efficiency and clean transportation solutions.
New Yorkers for Clean Power is convened by NRDC, Sierra Club, Frack Action, Catskill Mountainkeeper, The Solutions Project and Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2). We look forward to partnering with many organizations, businesses and others across the state.
New Yorkers for Clean Power launched May 2nd with a press event at Solar 1 in New York City featuring notable public figures, clean energy advocates and business leaders. This event kicked off a “Road to Renewables” tour across the state designed to educate the public through online advocacy and local events. From Montauk to Buffalo, the tour will highlight how New York is transitioning to clean energy by showcasing renewable energy initiatives as well as the expansion of electric vehicle use and infrastructure.
