Event Details

Join the Stop Williams Pipeline Coalition on Zoom Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 7:00 pm. Just when we thought we’d buried it for good, the fracked gas Williams Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) pipeline is back, and just as dangerous. Proposed by Williams Transco in 2017, NESE would run over 35 miles from New Jersey, under the NY/NJ Harbor, and connect near Rockaway Beach, bringing fracked methane from Pennsylvania to downstate NY. It threatens to stir up toxic sediment, pollute air and water, and drag us backward on climate change. Thanks to grassroots resistance, the project was denied key water permits twice—by NY and NJ in 2019 and 2020, and its federal permit expired in 2024. But on May 29, 2025, Williams reapplied to FERC and is once again seeking NY and NJ state approval. It’s still dirty, dangerous, and unnecessary. Join us to stop it—again.
