Urban Green offers essential training on how to understand and comply with the NYC Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC). With upcoming carbon emissions limits and increasingly stringent code requirements now in effect, understanding the changes to the 2020 NYCECC and where the code is headed is more important now than ever.

Since 2010, we’ve held 380 energy code courses throughout New York State and trained over 6,700 design and building professionals! Crushing the NYC Code:
This full-day course (7 CEUs!) is a deep dive into the energy code; learn how it works and the new requirements in the 2020 NYCECC. Commercial courses available. At the end of this course, participants will:

• Understand the structure and rationale behind the energy code, including the new provisions of the 2020 NYCECC and how they relate to NYC’s new emissions legislation;
• Differentiate between the various compliance pathways, including required testing and documentation;
• Recognize the interdependence of the building envelope, mechanical and lighting systems and their impacts on energy code compliance;
• Identify areas for improved project communication and coordination to support compliance.
