Last year, we rallied, lobbied, and organized our way to pass the nation’s most progressive climate legislation. The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act is now the law of the land, but we won’t get the urgent climate justice action that we need unless there is money for climate in this year’s budget.

Join us for a day of action in Albany (bit.ly/jan27albany) – we’ll be singing and dancing to celebrate our monumental victory in 2019 and rallying and lobbying to express our demands for climate justice in this year’s budget. It’s time for our elected officials to put money with their mouth is.

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY

*Buses will arrive at 10:30am; if you’re joining us on your own please arrive at a similar time to make it through security and join us at 11:00AM at the underground concourse.

11:00AM – 11:45AM – Learn about what the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act means for New York State and your community (happening in the underground concourse before security)

11:45AM – 1:30PM – We’ll go door-to-door, visiting every key state legislator and demanding money for climate in this year’s budget.

1:39PM – 2PM – Rally with elected officials & climate justice advocates at the Million Dollar Staircase (in the Capitol building).

2:00PM – 2:45PM – Lunch and plan for next steps to fund climate justice!
Buses depart to go home at around 3PM
