The NYC DOE Office of Sustainability and the STEM Department are partnering again for the NYC Solar Schools Education Program.

NYC DOE High School teachers are invited to attend the NYC Solar Schools Education Program. Workshops take place during school hours from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm. This program is FREE for interested teachers; all costs are covered by the DOE through funding from the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS).

Professional Learning Training Dates for High School Science (all subjects):

BROOKLYN HS: Workshop 1- Thursday 11/14/19, Boys and Girls High School 1700 Fulton St, Brooklyn, NY 11213; Workshop 2: Wednesday 2/12/20, SIMS Recycling Center in Brooklyn. 472 2nd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11232
QUEENS HS: Monday 11/25/19, Tuesday 2/11/20, Energy Tech High School: 36-41 28th St, Queens, NY 11106
BRONX HS: Monday 11/18/19, Friday 2/7/20 TapCo High School: 2225 Webster Ave, The Bronx, NY 10457
MANHATTAN HS: Friday 11/20/19, Wednesday 2/5/20, Location TBD in central Manhattan.

Training includes two on-site full day workshops, plus 1 afterschool webinar.
Time: 9:00 am- 3:00 pm.

All participating teachers will be provided with the training, curriculum, and other resources they need to integrate solar content and activities into their coursework. Free materials toolkits will be provided, and teachers can receive CTLE credits for attending.
