How to Add a Job Listing:
This map features jobs, training, internships, and opportunities in clean energy, energy efficiency, and clean transportation businesses and organizations across New York State. Job seekers can use our dashboard to search for jobs geographically, by sector, category, and several other filters. Employers and training organizations can improve their search for candidates by turning to this trusted, central resource for posting opportunities. To add a job listing:
- Enter listings using this form.
- Fill out one form per opportunity and include as much detail as possible.
- Use the Location field to place the opportunity on the map. If the role is remote, select the trash can icon to remove the pin from the map.
- Submit the form, and the opportunity will appear on the map after it is reviewed.

How to Navigate the Map:
- To see opportunities on the map, zoom in on your county, city, or town. You can also click the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner of the map and input an address to see opportunities around that location.
- Use the filters on the left sidebar to narrow your results by sector, tags, opportunity type, location format, entry-level status, or posting age.
The opportunity-age filter is very important, as posts older than 30 days will not show if that filter is not selected. - Click any pin on the map to view more details about that opportunity.
If you click a pin and the top right of the info box says 1 of 2 or more, there are multiple opportunities at that location. To view all opportunities, use the left and right arrows in the info box to view each opportunity. - Click the Legend tab on the top right to see what each map color means.
- Click on the bookmarks tab in the top right corner to view several saved views of regions in New York State
Remote Opportunities:
- Remote jobs do not appear as pins on the map.
- To view remote opportunities, click the Remote Jobs Table tab on the bottom of the map.
- Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the table to see all information, you can use the job posting date column to navigate to the newest opportunities as well as the opportunity type column.

The State of Clean Jobs in NY
A trained workforce is critical in the transition to a clean energy economy. Wind and Solar are the 1st and 2nd fastest growing careers in the US. As prices of clean energy resources continue to fall, New York has made clear policy commitments to transitioning its economy off of fossil fuels and towards renewable energy and batteries. Through NYSERDA, New York continues to fund and support programs to build the workforce required to make this transition a reality.
These factors have led to a very strong and growing Clean Energy Industry in New York. According to the NYSERDA Clean Energy Industry Report from 2024, New York is home to 185,000 clean energy jobs. 88% of these jobs belong to the energy efficiency field, which pays 7-9.5% higher than other in-state HVAC or construction jobs.
New Yorkers for Clean Power is excited about the momentum behind the Clean Energy Transition in New York State, but in order for the Transition to happen when it needs to happen, we need to create and fill a lot more Clean Energy Jobs.
