NYSERDA’s Offshore Wind Team invites you to a free in-person event at New York City’s offshore wind learning center in Sunset Park! The event is being brought to you in collaboration with UPROSE, Equinor, NYC Economic Development Corporation, the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York, local labor unions, and workforce development partners.

NYSERDA and its partners are committed to creating meaningful pathways for local residents to pursue good-paying careers, including union opportunities, that will support the region’s offshore wind industry and broader clean energy economy. We’re bringing together partners preparing to work on the upcoming phases of the Empire Wind project, like unions and suppliers who will play a significant role in South Brooklyn Marine Terminal’s future operations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with company and union representatives to learn about job opportunities, including pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs, and explore the steps needed to pursue stable, long-term careers in offshore wind.
