Soulful Synergy invites you to join us for a virtual information session to learn how you can launch a career in the booming clean energy sector. This free session will walk you through our 148-hour, hands-on training track in Electrification Training designed to equip New York City residents, especially Westchester County residents, with the skills and certifications employers demand.
What You Will Learn
At this info session, you’ll discover how our program combines classroom instruction, state-of-the-art hands-on work, and career readiness workshops to set you up for success. We’ll cover:
- Program overview and this specialized track
- Certification details (OSHA 30, SST Fall Prevention + Drug & Alcohol, EPA 608, & GPRO)
- Hands-on lab experiences using industry-grade equipment
- Workforce readiness sessions: resume building, interview prep, financial literacy, professional communication
- Supportive services and individualized referral plans to keep you on track
Who Should Attend
This session is perfect for aspiring construction professionals with no prior experience required:
- Westchester County residents, ages 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED
- Career changers, re-entrants, veterans, young adults, and those from declining industries
- Individuals committed to full-time training (Mon–Fri, 9 am–3 pm, October 13th –November 21st, 2025)
- Those who can lift 15 lbs, stand for hands-on work, and communicate in conversational English

CrescentCare Community Health Center is one of the largest health centers in New Orleans, serving primarily low-income and uninsured individuals. During Hurricane Ida in 2021, failure of the facility’s diesel generators resulted in over $250,000 in losses due to facility closure and spoilage of temperature regulated, cold storage-dependent vaccines and medications. To better support their community in the event of an outage, CrescentCare replaced their diesel generators with solar paired with battery storage (solar+storage), as well as a natural gas generator. The system was designed to power the entire facility, including vaccine storage, pharmacy, IT infrastructure, and patient care areas. This Clean Energy Group webinar will focus on CrescentCare’s experience developing solar+storage, highlighting project finances, challenges, and benefits.
Guest speakers will also provide an overview of the Solar+Storage Microgrids for Rural Community Health Centers Project, a U.S. Department of Energy-funded effort focused on building the energy preparedness of rural community health centers in the Southeast. Applications are currently open for this program, which provides no-cost technical assistance and approximately 70% in grants to develop and install a solar+storage system.

Inspired by the transformative impact of the original Earth Day in 1970, Sun Day is a national day-of-action to harness the power of people, culture, and advocacy to celebrate and accelerate the rapid build-out of renewable energy. Sun Day will specifically spotlight how solar and wind are the most affordable, most reliable, and most expeditious sources of energy.
Sun Day events in Upstate New York will bring together activists, businesses, workers, homeowners, renters, farmers, students, and policymakers to demonstrate widespread support for the ongoing transition to renewable energy.
Through arts and music, storytelling, teach-ins, and fun activities for all ages, Sun Day events will showcase New York’s affordable, reliable clean energy future as we leave behind the planet-crushing toxicity of fossil fuels.

Kick off Climate Week by joining us for Sun Day NYC, an afternoon of entertainment, speakers and family-friendly activities focused on the power of the sun and sustainable energy.
Sun Day is a national day of action on September 21, 2025, celebrating the rise of clean energy. We’ll showcase the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution, with activities inside and outside the historic Fifteenth Street Friends Meeting House, and in adjacent Stuyvesant Square Park.
Our event will feature information booths and tables, opportunities to take action, kids’ activities inside and outside, a family music performance by Esther Crow, and a panel discussion moderated by WNYC radio/podcast host Kai Wright and featuring Third Act’s Bill McKibben, NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, and others. We’ll even have a few surprise guests!
The day will conclude with a rousing performance by Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir – fresh off their tour opening for Neil Young.
